The Great White Throne is my favorite mountain in Zion. It rises 3,000 feet above the valley floor and has an incredibly imposing structure when viewed from the valley floor. In this image, I was able to capture the scale of the throne with beautiful afternoon light hitting the monolith. The mountain is framed nicely by a branch of the Virgin River flowing into the main channel as it heads out of the canyon.
