Berg Lake in Mount Robson Provincial Park is my favorite backpacking trek in the trek in the Canadian Rockies. Right from the start, you are greeted with large, lush Western red cedar trees. The trail then passes by Kinney Lake - a beautiful glacial lake surrounded by the peaks surrounding Mount Robson. The trail then gains significant elevation up to Berg Lake - which is an absolutely stunning destination directly under Mount Robson. Glaciers pour down Robson’s face into the turquiose lake below. This shot was taken right near the outlay of Kinney Lake while hiking back to the trailhead from Berg Lake. While the backdrop may look like sky, it is actually the bright blue, glass-calm glacial surface of Kinney Lake. This was one of my favorite shots from this trip just because of the color contrast between the rich dark green hues of the tree and the brilliant glacial blue hues of the lake in the background.
