Cactus and Cascades

This image was taken from above Lower Emerald Pool in Zion Canyon. It captures two waterfalls - one falling into Upper Emerald Pool and the other feeding into Lower Emerald Pool. Besides the natural beauty of the scene, one of my favorite parts of this image is the sharpness of the cactus spines. It adds to the profile of the cactus and directs the viewer’s eye to the background and the rest of the scene.
