This is one of my favorite shots from any of my Colorado photos. This scene was shot from the top of Molas Pass between Durango and Silverton. I had marked this location on my map during my trip and was a bit worried that we would miss peak fall conditions by a few days. We ended up catching it at the right time! The old cabin in the center is framed beautifully by peak fall colors both in the front and the back. The snowcapped mountains from the previous night’s storm was awesome to see and a reminder that seasons change quickly up in the high country!
