I took this photo on the trail heading up to Floe Lake. As we began to gain elevation, beautiful stalks of bright pink fireweed began to pop up all around us. I love this image because it captures the perfect moment where the fireweed stalk is being illuminated by the sun. I was able to create the sun star you see above because the sun is pinned between the mountain and the tree, which allows the beautiful light rays to bounce off the sun.
