A popular turnaround point for many hikers in the Narrows, Floating Rock is easily recognizable to hikers trudging upstream. It sits right in the middle of Wall Street - the most impressive area of the Narrows. I captured this image while hiking downstream back towards the trailhead. It stood out to me because of it’s size and location. It was huge (probably the size of an RV) and sat directly in the center of my scene - making it the ideal subject for this image.
