Berg Lake in Mount Robson Provincial Park is my favorite backpacking trek in the trek in the Canadian Rockies. Right from the start, you are greeted with large, lush Western red cedar trees. The trail then passes by Kinney Lake - a beautiful glacial lake surrounded by the peaks surrounding Mount Robson. The trail then gains significant elevation up to Berg Lake - which is an absolutely stunning destination directly under Mount Robson. Glaciers pour down Robson’s face into the turquoise lake below. Beyond Berg Lake lies Robson Lake - which sits at the foot of the Robson Glacier, a massive glacier pouring down the backside of the mountain. While exploring the shoreline of the lake, I found this awesome iceberg frame with dramatic light on the Robson Glacier in the background. An ice frame!
