Glacier is known for its colorful rocks - oftentimes, its rocks are hues of reds, oranges, and pinks. This is due to the iron in Glacier’s rocks - the iron content here is much higher than other parts of the Rockies like the Tetons or Banff. Lake McDonald - a huge lake on the west side of the park - is the best place to see these fruity pebbles!
