This is one of the most famous viewpoints in Glacier and all of the US national parks system. It can be found on the trail up to Grinnell Glacier - about a 6 mile hike from the trailhead. While visiting the park, this was the view I was after. In this shot, Grinnell Lake glows a beautiful bright blue underneath Angel Wing - with Mount Gould looming behind it. During my trip, my friend and I visited this point 3 times - hoping for good weather. I took this frame after the clouds lifted from an afternoon rain storm. We had just completed a 12 mile hike to Cracker Lake in the morning and made the decision to attempt to try to get up here before the sun left the lake. It was a grind to quickly ascend but seeing the contrast between light and shade on the lake surface was amazing. The setting sunlight on Angel Wing was also quite beautiful.
