Maligne Lake, deep in the heart of Jasper National Park, is arguably the most beautiful place in the Canadian Rockies. The lake is long and narrow while being surrounded by dramatic peaks and massive glaciers. This photo was taken at Spirit Island on a smoky afternoon. The smoky conditions and falling sun created a nice, warm tone on the lake and peaks. While editing this image, I loved the film-like warmth that the smoke had created for this image.
