Wrangell-St. Elias National Park truly shocked me in Alaska. After coming in from the Yukon, I drove south towards the coast, turned a corner, and all of the sudden these MASSIVE mountains appeared. It was like seeing 3 different Mount Rainiers all at the same time! This picture focuses on Mount Wrangell - which is a massive shield volcano over 13,000 feet tall. Also, Mount Wrangell is almost 19 miles in diameter. The scale of this mountain is mind-boggling.
