This was my reward for hiking 7 miles and 3000 feet of elevation! I hiked from Moraine Lake, above Larch Valley and I took this image slightly below Sentinel Pass. I love this image because of the contrasting elements. The creek and green tones in the foreground are very different from the dark, heavy tones of the snowcapped peaks in the background. The slight haze on the mountains also added to the contrast of the image.
