Simply Louise

Lake Louise is probably the busiest destination in Banff and maybe all of the Canadian Rockies. Thousands of visitors flock to its shores each day. It’s popular for a reason! This lake is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. The backdrop of Mount Victoria and the surrounding peaks plus the bright, aquamarine blue water makes for an idyllic setting. In this frame, I captured a simple composition - rocks, water, and mountains. As the clouds rolled over the mountains and blocked the sun, the lake popped with color.
