After hiking 20 miles into Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, I had decided to hike an additional 4 miles and 1000 feet up a ridge called the Nublet to try to find some compositions and maybe catch an awesome sunset. Unfortunately, I was forced off the ridge by storms. Of course, as soon as I returned to my campsite, the storm subsided and the sky lit up in fiery color. While I was bummed to miss out on the shot I was looking for that night (see “Assiniboine Splendor” for that result), this was an awesome sight to see and capture with my own eyes.
