Unlike many parks, White Sands National Park is not open 24/7. Instead, the park hours are 7 AM to sunset all year. We visited in the winter and were determined to catch sunrise (which was scheduled for 7:10 AM that day). So we woke up around 5:45 and headed out to the park. We got to the park around 6:30 and were the 3rd car in line to enter the parl. Once they finally let us in, it was a mad dash to find a composition. We spotted this yucca all by itself out in the sand from the road. We quickly pulled into the lot, grabbed our cameras, and sprinted out to the bush. We got out there just in time to enjoy and capture a beautiful sunrise.
